Welcome to the FDGE blog
FDGE has been around since 2022 and, until today, every lesson generated in client projects has lived inside emails, Notion docs and the heads of whoever worked on the project. That changes today.
This blog is a public repository of what we learn building software for companies across Brazil, Portugal and the wider EU. No hype, no “10 infallible tips” lists, no machine-translated articles from the American internet.
What we’ll write about
We’ll write about what we see day to day:
- Technical decisions worth explaining (stack choices, architecture, real trade-offs with concrete data).
- Practical guides on topics clients ask repeatedly — pricing a website, SaaS delivery times, hiring developers, technical SEO.
- Real case studies, always with client permission, showing how the problem was solved and what the measurable results were.
- Honest comparisons between technologies (React Native vs Flutter, Astro vs Next.js, Resend vs SendGrid).
- Opinion when it makes sense to stir a discussion.
What we WON’T write about
- Generic “top 10 X tools in 2026” listicles.
- AI-generated content without human revision.
- Posts that could be replaced by the official documentation of the technology.
- Empty promises like “rank on Google’s first page in 30 days”.
Who writes
For now, it’s just me, Victor. As the team grows, other names will appear. The rule is simple: whoever writes must have had hands on the problem — not a copywriter working off a brief.
Cadence
We aim to publish 1 to 2 posts per month. Consistency beats volume — and writing well takes time.
